Spotlight
on...
Scott Bradley
I like this guy.
Scott and I have had a lot
of great conversations on the phone. He's pleasant,
knowledgeable, and a helluva funny guy. Spend more than two
minutes on the phone with Scott and you KNOW he's the type of person
you'd love to knock back a few ales with at the local pub.
He is one of the best
natural copy writers I've met in a long time, and his success stems
from his uncanny ability to put his "good 'ol boy" persona
into the ads he develops. Prospects love it!
Ordinarily we don't do a
feature article on an Alpha Dog until they've been around for several
months - to make sure they're not a so-called
"flash-in-the-pan." We're making an exception in
Scott's case, however, because... well, by golly, he's EARNED it!
His second day in the
business, Scott popped two ebook sales, and FOUR sales his third day -
using JUST the C.H.I.P. programs. He ended his first month with
a respectable 18 ebook sales. Scott's also a "master of
conversion," with one of every four of his ebook purchasers
upgrading to Alpha dog. A genuinely warm and caring person,
Scott is a great sponsor. Those of you in his downline are
indeed fortunate to have him above you!
Stan:
"Well, Scott, m'man! Let's begin our interview with you
telling the rest of the troops a little about yourself."
Scott:
"I am 46 years old, Stan, and I have been married to Susi for 15
years. She is German and we were married in
Augsburg, Germany. We have one son, Alex who is 4 years old,
going on 26! Currently I have a 'full-time'
job as a representative for a
packaging firm in Greenville, SC. Fortunately, it is a job where I choose my
own hours and travel areas so I have the freedom to work the internet
as well."
Stan:
"And what did you do prior to becoming involved with Internet
marketing?"
Scott:
"Previously, I was a
very successful investment advisor with a very large bank. My
whole world came tumbling down one morning when I was given the choice
of leaving the firm voluntarily or being fired. I was the number
one salesperson for this very large bank. However a customer made a
complaint about me, and I lost everything over something to this day
I felt I did not do. This was earth shattering for me, as I went
from a regular salary/commission of several hundred thousand dollars
to nothing overnight. I had to make some choices very quickly
because selling was the only thing I knew."
"I got a job
with the packaging firm, but I also decided to try my
luck on the internet. I have always been fascinated with
marketing and actually wrote sales letters as somewhat of a hobby.
This was one reason I was so successful as an investment advisor.
Letters would accomplish several things. First and foremost, it
kept in touch with my clients. Secondly, if the market was changing it
kept them from becoming panicky, knowing I was on top of what was going
on."
Stan:
"I've seen several examples of your ads, Scott, and they are VERY
well constructed. Would you say your experience as an investment
advisor assisted you in becoming the excellent copy writer that you
are?"
Scott:
"Absolutely! You have to keep in touch with the folks that
purchase the Big Dogs book even if they do not upgrade to Alpha
Dog immediately.
The timing might not be right for them now, however as I found out the
hard way things can and will change. If you are keeping in touch
with them, if a change comes about, who do you think they will think
of?"
Stan:
"Well said, Scott. All too many of our people simply assume
that all their ebook purchasers are going to upgrade to Alpha Dog
right away. This is simply not the case, and staying in touch
with them on a regular basis lends you a whole BUNCH of credibility
and continuity."
"But, I dare say
that Big Dogs was not your first venture into the world of Internet
marketing. What were your experiences prior to 'runnin' with the
Big Dogs?'"
Scott:
"My marketing
experience on the internet had been an arduous journey to say the
least! I thought all I had to do was get a program, put up the
company web page and lo and behold people would flock to it... right?
Well was I in for a wake up call..."
"The first program
that I purchased was for $1,295.00 with a $99.00 per month administration
fee plus a 19.95 per
month web page fee. I had to refer two folks in and then I would
make $1,000 per sale. I am sure many of your readers have heard
of this type of program."
"Well I jumped in with
both feet! Bought a list for $1,000 and started smilin' and
dialin'. My motto was the 'ol 'SW3' motto - Some Will,
Some Won't, So What... NEXT! And it
worked! Within 7 days I had qualified, and had gotten my first
$1,000 sale.
Then the problems began. Because I was unaware of the ins and
outs of payments, my upline took my customers money, signed them up
and then never paid me."
"You can imagine my dilemma. I was upset and didn't do anything else with the
program."
"Along came another
of those 'mentoring' programs, and again it was an expensive
one. This time it was $1,495 up front with other monthly fees to boot. This time I only
had to bring one other person in to qualify. Again with in the
first few days, I had qualified. However my 'mentor' and I
just didn't see eye to eye and I couldn't make it work."
"During all
this time I constantly was deleting advertisements for Big Dogs.
But after months of seeing countless ads from your affiliates, I
finally decided to see what this 'Big Dogs stuff' was all about and
bought the ebook. I found that I couldn't put the thing down
once I started to read it!"
Stan:
"Once again, Scott, this is a concept we try to drill into our
people. The AVERAGE person on the Internet doesn't make a
purchase until they've seen an ad seven times. And that's just
the AVERAGE! It most cases a person may see ads for a certain
program for months, or even YEARS before they 'take the plunge' and
purchase it. So what was your initial impression?"
Scott:
"My initial impression!? My first impression was that this fellow
'Stan
Stuchinski' (I am from SC and couldn't even say his last name - LOL) had
written a masterpiece that put into plain language all that I was
missing from marketing on the internet."
"What a beautiful
concept. Market one thing (e-book) and let the book do the
selling for you. For once, there was no cold calling, no
pressure, only answer questions if someone decided to call you."
Stan:
"You hit the nail on the head. I think that this is a major
part of the Big Dogs system that most folks overlook entirely, or just
forget about. Most folks would have a difficult time trying to
market something that costs $180.00 per month (the cost of the C.H.I.P.)
However, Big Dogs affiliates only have to be concerned about selling a
little $19.95 ebook. Then the ebook takes over and IT does
the 'upsell' for the C.H.I.P."
Scott:
"Yep - a beautiful system, and I knew I could do it. So I joined all of the programs and lo and behold in my first week I
think I sold 7 books. During this time, I think I pestered the
heck out of you because I called every day with another question.
You were really patient and we discussed several of the methods to get
folks to buy the book."
"One of the objections
that I realized I was getting came up very quickly. I started to
look into it and find out if there were any truths to it or was it a
myth. I have been a numbers man for some time and got my
calculator and did a bit of math."
"The objection was the
book was 'marketplace saturation.' To me this did not make sense,
but I was going to prove or disprove this theory. I figure
there have been about 80,000 book sales over the five year period.
(Stan verified this figure) According to every source I have read,
there are approximately 500,000,000 marketing individuals on the
internet every day and more coming on daily. So what is the
penetration or saturation of this product in the market place?
Is there more room to sell this program? Run the numbers
yourself."
"If there are truly
500 million folks who want to learn marketing on the internet and
approximately 80,000 have been reached, that means that 99.986% have
not been reached yet. I don't know about you but I think that is
one heck of an untouched marketplace."
Stan:
"Correct, again, Scott. The idea that Big Dogs (or ANY
program-of-genuine-value, for that matter) can become
'saturated' is ludicrous! Not with 100,000 new people
coming onto the Internet each DAY. Forget about reaching 99.986%
of them! I'll settle for reaching just ONE percent of all those
new people!"
"Add to that the
countries where the Internet is just now becoming a 'tool for the
masses' - the way it was back in the United States ten years ago, and
one can see that we are just beginning our true growth phase!"
"Now, then,
Scott, I've bragged so much about your copy writing abilities.
Can you tell us about your ad writing techniques?"
Scott:
"What type of ads do I
run and how often do I change them? I like to write, I like to
get the curiosity up of readers. I do not believe that everyone
deletes their email and does not read any of the advertisements.
I try to come across as a real person and not a robot. I will
share a couple of my more successful advertisements. I change my
ads and subject lines every couple of days. I have written over
30 different letters and want to tweak my ads. I use Adminder
religiously to monitor how my ads are doing. I spend about an
hour a day on the net tweaking and reading this and that."

Sales Message
Hi There, my name is
Scott Bradley and I know exactly how you might feel.
My contact info is at the end of this message and I hope
you get in touch with me.
Previously, I was
trying desperately to make money online. I purchased every
program, book and pie in the sky system to make some extra
money. Sound
familiar?
Bear with me and I
will explain further. I
am a middle aged man married with
one 4 year old son. I
have been accused of being a
slave to the computer and internet.
I wanted desperately
to get out of debt and make it online? I bet you have been
guilty of the same feelings. I
was ready to throw in the
towel and completely quit spending when I came across a
marketing life-saver.
(Target URL)
Yes, I am guilty, I
had seen this ad over 50 times before, however, I had never
taken the time to really read it. I just thought it was
another $19.95 e-book scam!
Spend, Spend, Spend.
That is all I was doing. However,
there was one little
thing that caught my eye and I decided to bite and
go ahead and get it.
(Target URL)
“Good Golly, Miss
Molly!” Was I ever
surprised. I got excited because I
found a way to really make it on the net.
I hope you won’t be
as hard-headed as I was and finally take some time to check
out the site. If you can’t afford $19.95 on your business,
Well Good Luck and God Bless You.
I hope you make it.
However, if you are like me, you couldn’t live online without the
book now.

Scott:
"I read another e-book
on the net called Rich Jerk.
Even though I already knew
quite a bit of the information, I was able to glean
some really good tidbits of info. I wrote the following
advertisement after reading that book and to date it
has pulled more than any other ad I have run - over 12%
of my total hits. (NOTE: It does promote other programs
in addition to Big Dogs)
>>>>> ===An Interesting
S|C|A|M Review===
From the desk of
Scott Bradley, Senior Reviewer, Moore, SC:
All of us would like
to make lots and lots of cash as Jeff Paul says, "sitting in our underwear
at our kitchen table," right?
No matter what type
of program you have seen, whether it is a gifting program, forced matrix,
real estate investing, internet affiliate marketing or something else, we have all seen
the fantastic claims folks make about bringing in tons of cash and how they can show you how
to do the same thing.
Please hear this very
LOUDLY... 99% of these get-rich-quick schemes do not work.
I am sure that all of you have been taken in on the next latest and greatest opportunity since
sliced bread, right? Me Too! Well I don't like to be taken and I don't think you do as well.
You see I have one
major problem. I want to believe that people have a good heart and really
want to help you succeed. Well after being taken one too many times, I got sick and tired of it
and decided to really do something.
Recently, I took a
lot of time and posed as a potential customer. I really wanted to find a good
program that was legitimate and not one to just make a quick buck or two.
Granted, what I found was eye-opening.
Please let me share
some of the more incredible stupidity and scams that are circulating on the
net today.
These are actual
quotes that I received in my mailbox:
"Become a
M.o.n.e.y Broker. Make m.o.n.e.y by lending m.o.n.e.y to people who can't get loans because
they're bad credit risks. Just think of the size of your potential customer base!"
(Uh, what about the
banker and other creditor that didn't get paid the last time?)
"Set yourself up
as a Corporate Lifesaver! Find a company in your area that's in danger of going
bankrupt. Tell the owner that you can save his business for only $2,000. Then interview his
employees. Everybody who works there will gladly tell you what the boss is doing wrong!"
(Now that makes
sense, not! Ask a $6 per hour worker
with absolutely no business background, Why is the
company going bankrupt?)
"Millions of
people don't know that the U.S. government owes them m.o.n.e.y. If you'll send us $150,
we'll send you a list of people (complete with names, addresses and phone numbers) that the government
(for some reason) just can't seem to locate. Tell these people you can get their m.o.n.e.y for them,
and all you want is a 40% finder's fee. You'll make a fo.rtune."
(Uh, call me crazy
but if Uncle Sam can't seem to find these folks, why do you think you can? Oh, and
by the way, you can download this info for free from your state's escheat listing.)
After contacting many
of the program owners I was really dis-illusioned with what I discovered:
- really outdated information
- links that didn't work
- no refunds
- no real support system
and I could go on and on with this list of problems.
Now my in-box is
flooded with useless advertisements and trash mail. But, there is light at the end of
the rainbow. I was able to find a few website owners that found a way to legitimately make extra
m.o.n.e.y working from home on their computers.
The membership areas
were really impressive with a fabulous support area and showed ways to make
from hundreds to thousands per month consistently.
I called and verified
with some of the members that they were actually making m.o.n.e.y through the sites.
It was like finding diamonds in the rough. But don't take my word for it, you can visit three of the sites
that I found below. See what you think.
Of course there is a
fee for access to their program however, that is to be expected for any legitimate
company that has folks on staff to answer questions and are dedicated to getting you started.
What impressed me
about these programs is they are fairly inexpensive and provide step by step instructions
to follow for the inexperienced that want to make m.o.n.e.y from home.
All the best,
Scott Bradley

Here are the links to
the programs we do recommend:
(Link # 1)
(Link # 2)
(Link # 3)
I would be really
interested in what you think about these sites, feel free to contact me.
Stan:
"Thanks, Scott."
"Now, gang, I
want to point out a key point about Scott's second ad. You'll
notice that he is using the C.H.I.P. to sell OTHER programs IN
ADDITION to the Big Dogs program (Big Dogs is his "Link #
1") There is not a thing wrong with this; in fact, we
encourage it! Remember that the Big Dogs program was DESIGNED
from the get-go to be 100% generic, so that it could be used to market
ANY program, product, or service. If you, prior to joining Big
Dogs, already have a favorite program you are marketing, we CERTAINLY
don't expect you to drop it!"
"While most
Alpha Dogs DO market Big Dogs exclusively, we also have many Alpha
Dogs who were marketing other programs for some time. These
folks have used the C.H.I.P. quite successfully to market those
programs."
"The reason I
say that this is a key point is that this is probably another reason
Big Dogs has shown such staying power. While our system can be
used to market the system itself, it can also be used to market
anything else, as well... the best of BOTH worlds!"
"Now, then,
Scott, to finish up, have you used any other promotional programs to
promote Big Dogs? And do you have any parting words of
wisdom?"
Scott:
"Actually, I have, Stan. I have found a fairly inexpensive
program called MadMailer that will send out your email
to over 1800 safelists for $10 per month."
"I have also used with
great success the ProspectResponse Mass Mailing. (It is
an optional feature when you join the ProspectResponse program.)
It
costs approximately $50 and it reaches over 150,000 emails spam
free. Everytime I have used this service I get quite a
few sign-ups."
"Two Things to
remember..."
#1 - Persistency is the
key!
"I have gone for 7 days
with no sales twice already. If I would have thrown
in the towel, I wouldn't have gotten the sales I have so
far."
#2- Kindness and
courtesy!
"Not everyone is ready to sign up immediately to
become an Alpha Dog. When the time is right it will happen
for them. Don't give up on them; you can get an email for
another sign-up when you least expect it."
"Finally, be sure to keep up
with your ads, change them up, don't let them get stale.
Create your own, use your story, don't just rely on the ad vault.
Don't be scared to write how you feel and don't worry if it
is grammatically correct. (I failed English Class 3
times!) Just do it! I will help anyone that asks me for letter
writing. I love to see how the public will react to a good
subject line and letter that tells a compelling story."
