Spotlight on...
Patricia Brown

As you'll see below, this lovely young lady chose her ClickBank nickname quite appropriately...

BIZI-MAMA!

And to say that she is "busy" is a dramatic understatement.  She has so many irons in the fire that it's a wonder she doesn't have third degree burns!

Stan:  "Patricia, thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with the rest of the troops out there.  Could you perhaps give us a little biography of yourself to get the ball rolling?"

Patricia:  "Thank YOU, Stan, for the opportunity to address the other Big Dogs.  I just turned the 'Big 4-0' right before starting to promote The Secrets of the Big Dogs.  I live in Queens, NY with my wonderful husband of ten years, our beautiful nine year old daughter, our miniature schnauzer Peppi, (who has a strange resemblance to my husband, with his salt and pepper hair :), and Nina, our Russian tortoise.  I have been teaching in the New York City Public Schools for 14 years, and am currently teaching English as a Second Language to 8th grade students.  I also teach Sunday School in an Assemblies of God church, and do private tutoring."

Stan:  "Wow!  That's quite a plateful, Patty!  Juggling a family AND a full-time career is no easy task.  How was it that you got involved with Internet marketing?"

Patricia:  "Well, about a year ago I decided I wanted to go into business for myself.  It dawned upon me one day, while I was blow drying my hair, that I would open a Gift Basket business.  My husband looked at me like I was crazy, and had no idea what he was in for!  The next several months I brainstormed, researched, brainstormed again, and put together a beautiful Gift Basket website.

"Surely," I assumed, "EVERYONE would flock to my site!"  I had no doubt that orders would come pouring in at a rate so fast, that I wouldn't ever have to deal with another exhausting day of teaching again."

"Now I guess it was what you would call time for a 'reality check.'"

"I was so naive as to think that by simply submitting my website to all of the search engines, that people would find me.  Of course, as you well know, no one knew who I was or where I was.  It didn't matter how gorgeous my site was because it was 'lost in cyberspace.'  It was around this time that I got yet another e-mail about the Secrets of the Big Dogs.  I was almost ready to buy it...

"Of course, I had to first look into advertising and 'website optimization.'  Every time I got off the phone with someone who told me it would be anywhere between $500 and $2,000 a month, I started to think that I had been crazy to even think about doing something like this.  I needed advertising, I needed to get people to know where my site was, and I didn't  want to spend a fortune to wait for months to even be on the first page of a search engine."

"So instead, I decided to join, like, 100 traffic exchanges, where I would click for credits.  I guess I was too hyper for that so then I got some (ridiculous) software that would actually click for me!  I was so happy, thinking that people were seeing my site.  (Of course I was sleeping, cooking, or watching 'I Love Lucy' reruns while my software was running.)"

"One day my husband said, 'Pat, what makes you think that everyone else isn't doing the same thing as you?''"

But surely they weren't!  Surely I was smarter than those other thousands of people, who were looking at my website.  I had the clicks to prove it!  But I still had not made even ONE sale from my website.  When I thought honestly about it, even when I was clicking for credits, I wasn't concerned with other people's websites, but just getting traffic to my own. (LOL)."

"Then I went back to the Big Dogs ad, and decided to call this guy Stan. (I actually liked his picture too.)"

"I called the Big Dogs Home Office, Stan, and left you a message.  At least I got a voice mail; which was a change from several (please don't laugh at me) dollar randomizer and 'money doubler' programs I had joined where there wasn't even a phone number on the website!"

"I remember I was at a friend's house in South Hampton, Long Island when you called me.  We spoke for about 10 minutes, and you seemed to be a really nice, honest guy!"

Stan:  "(Blush)  Thank you, Patricia.  I, too, recall the conversation quite well.  You were amazingly easy to talk to - it was almost like two old friends sitting down to chat over a cup of coffee.  But what was it about our conversation that convinced you to go ahead and purchase the 'Secrets of the Big Dogs' ebook?"

Patricia:  "The big thing was that you were HONEST with me, even if it meant you ran the risk of hurting my feelings.  You told me that the people I would be marketing to are not the type of people interested in buying Gift Baskets and Jewelry. You weren't just concerned with making a sale, and letting me find out on my own that I would be trying to sell these products to people looking for Internet business opportunities."

"Needless to say, I decided to purchase 'Secrets of the Big Dogs' and perhaps use it to market another website, and not my Gift Basket merchandise."

Stan:  "So what was your initial reaction after reading the ebook?"

Patricia:  "Do you believe in love at first sight!?  The moment I started reading your book, I became enamored with it!  It made so much sense, and I was so excited at the potential!  The C.H.I.P. programs were great!  And to top it all off, your 'Step 1, Step 2, etc, etc'-style directions were so thorough that anyone could follow them."

"I didn't have to think twice about it!  I immediately became an Alpha Dog!  I wanted success, major success - after all, I WAS just 40 :)  I immediately started actively promoting Secrets of the Big Dogs on August 25.  I'm proud to say I have not missed one day since."

"Now...every morning after I read my Bible and before I work out, I go to 'work' on the computer.  It takes me all of ten minutes to do ALL my marketing!"

"In the beginning, I would use the same Set And Forget ad for weeks at a time, but now I change them every couple of days to a week.  I have started to write my own ads, but still use a lot of ads from the Training Manual site.  The subject line for my favorite one is the 'Set it and Forget it - Take Back Your Life!' ad.  I always get a lot of clicks on that one."

"I use an average of three to four ad titles daily, and also vary my subject lines.  I am now involved in another great online opportunity, and have been promoting that, ALSO through the C.H.I.P. programs.  I already have paid members in my downline, and it's all because of the beauty of the C.H.I.P. programs (along with persistence, persistence, persistence!)"

Stan:  "Sounds like you have the program down to a science, Patricia.  Does that mean you were an instant success and started to make sales right away?"

Patricia:  "Hardly!  Even though I was working the program religiously, I made just one ebook sale my first month.  In fact, it took me three full months to really understand what I was doing right and what I was doing wrong."

Stan:  "Obviously your persistence paid off - BIG time!  Our records indicate that beginning your third month your sales literally skyrocketed.  You even had your best month for the year in December.  December!  The month that is invariably the SLOWEST month of the year for most marketers.  In fact you were one of our top affiliates for that month!  Congratulations!"

Patricia:  "Now it's MY turn to blush!  (LOL!)"

"In the beginning, when I would sometimes feel discouraged because I hadn't made a sale in a couple of weeks, I never gave up!  Let me tell you, it is so exciting when you log into Clickbank and see you've made another sale.  It is even more thrilling when you realize that someone has signed up for the C.H.I.P. programs under you."

"I LOVE this program, Stan!"

Stan:  "Thank YOU, Patricia.  Now, I just KNOW that our other Big Dogs out there are dyin' to catch a glimpse of one of your ads.  Would you mind sharing one with us?"

Patricia:  "Not a problem, Stan.  Below is one that I've used with a great deal of success."
