"He Doesn't Say Much
But Then...
He Doesn't HAVE To!"

Spotlight on...
Russ Lee

Russ is the strong, silent type.

He prefers to live by the old saying, "Actions speak louder than words."  And that's fine by me, because Russ's ACTIONS put him at the front of the pack!

Interestingly, Mr Lee began his career with Big Dogs way, WAY back in November of 2002.  Now, during the two years he marketed the Big Dogs program, he was a CONSISTENT producer but never a BIG producer, averaging around 8 ebook sales a month.

However, his duties with his offline business required him to take a "leave of absence" from Internet marketing - a long leave of absence.  In fact, Russ did not return to the trenches until January of this year.

But WHAT a return!!!

Revived, refreshed, and revitalized, Russ nearly TRIPLED his average monthly sales!  And in August - a period that is usually notorious for slow sales in ANY industry - Russ scored his all time best month with 44 sales!

Yes, Russ - "speak-softly-and-carry-a-big-stick" - Lee has a LOT to teach us!...

Stan:  "Russ, I know you really ARE the modest type.  It took me quite a while to convince you to grant us this interview.  So let's begin by telling us about yourself."

Russ:  "Well, Stan, I'm a 48 year old laid off aerospace worker.  I'm currently single, and in the offline world I own a vending business."

Stan:  "How long have you been marketing on the Internet, and what had been your experience before joining Big Dogs?"

Russ:  "I think all the rest of the Big Dogs will find this interesting:  Big Dogs is the FIRST program I ever promoted online, and it is the ONLY program I've ever promoted.  I simply don't believe in jumping from program to program.  I investigated the Big Dogs program thoroughly before joining, and I was solidly convinced of the logic behind the concept."

"Big Dogs is a value-packed system and ebook.  It is EASY to promote something that costs a mere $19.95 versus most other info-type products that cost a lot more.  The bottom line is that I feel that most people will throw out a twenty dollar bill just to find out what is in the ebook."

"Then - after they purchase the ebook - the magic REALLY starts to happen.  It's the ebook that takes all the work out of selling the MAIN product, the C.H.I.P.  Naturally, I "nudge 'em along" just a little - nothing hard-sell, or anything like that - I just make it abundantly clear to my people the logic of upgrading to Alpha Dog, and that I will be there to help them!"

Stan:  "Nudge 'em along a little" is putting it mildly, Russ.  In looking at your upgrade stats recently I see that your conversion ratio - the number of ebook purchasers that upgrade to Alpha Dog - is nearly 40%!  That's amazing... and more than DOUBLE the average!"

"What about your ads, though.  What is your philosophy on copy writing?"

Russ:  "This is one point where you and I differ a little, Stan.  The ads in the AdVault are great - don't get me wrong - and I'm sure they work well.  BUT!... I always keep my ads short and to the point.  I feel that the sales website was perfectly designed to lead a prospect to make the purchase, so I gear my ads to do nothing more than get' em to the website!  Below is an example..."

You and Your Glamorous Website

Sales Message:

Your website is glamorous and you have a great product - but you're STILL not getting sales!

The truth is that is doesn't matter HOW good your product is, or HOW great your program is...

(Target URL)

...and the truth is something that is in VERY short supply on the Internet.

Stan:  (chuckle) "Like I said, gang, Russ IS a man of few words.  Don't you agree?  His ad style is TOTALLY off the wall."

"Anyway, Russ, in addition to the programs in the C.H.I.P., what other methods of promotion have you found to be effective?"

Russ:  "It's simple.  I use EVERYTHING.  And I DO mean everything.  I use every traffic generating tool I can get my hands on - both the paid AND the free versions."

"I've found that (as you state in the ebook) 99% of traffic generation tools are worthless.  But I've prepared myself for that;  my goal is to try out 100 things ASSUMING that just one will work.  That can be time consuming and often very frustrating, but like I said I've mentally prepared myself for that.  After all, all you need is one winner, once each month."

"I use this message board blaster for better rankings in the search engines...

"And I also use this free URL 300 site submission script, again for better search engine rankings..."

"I've found that a lot of these programs work well only for a short period of time before they become saturated or go belly-up.  The C.H.I.P. programs, of course, can be counted on as a rock solid foundation for traffic generation;  we know they're going to be here for the foreseeable future.  However, these other programs, even though they might have a brief lifespan, sometimes generate what I call "out-of-circle" traffic - prospects who perhaps don't post to FFA networks or classified ad sites."

Stan:  "Well said, Russ.  With the C.H.I.P. programs on auto-pilot, we all have plenty of time to investigate those "out-of-circle" traffic generators that can result in prospects we wouldn't ordinarily get."

"I also want to congratulate you on your incredible abilities as a sponsor.  Oh, it's great to sell a buncha ebooks.  But the REAL test of a marketer is how he follows up.  And you seem to be doing THAT job in spades!  The percent of your ebook purchasers who upgrade to Alpha Dog - something like 40% - is TOTALLY off the charts!  Well done.

"Any final words, my friend?"

Russ:  "I think it's worth pointing out, Stan, that I am doing better TODAY with the Big Dogs program than I did back in 2002, when the program was 'fresh and new.'  That tells ME that the Big Dogs concept really DOES stand the test of time."

"People are ALWAYS going to need the services of a reputable program that WORKS!"
