If you'll recall from reading Chapter 3 of the "Secrets of the Big Dogs" ebook, we made the following key statement...

"A monthly financial commitment to your Internet marketing business of between $300.00 and $500.00 is very reasonable, and, compared to OFFLINE ventures, is laughably small."
                                                                 -Section 4, Chapter 3

Now the monthly commitment when you join all of the C.H.I.P. programs is just slightly less than $200.00.  Thus the difference between the $200 monthly commitment for the C.H.I.P. and the $300-$500 per month we recommended that you commit to your online business allows you quite a bit of "wriggle-room."

Are we implying that you should always spend an ADDITIONAL $100 to $300 per month on supplemental advertising over and above what you are investing into the C.H.I.P?  Not at all!  We are, however, recommending that you set aside $50 to $100 to continuously make use of alternative forms of promotion.

But let's back-track for a moment and review precisely what the C.H.I.P. was engineered to accomplish.  The C.H.I.P. was designed to do two things:

  • To establish a set-and-forget system of generating targeted traffic as well as a set-and-forget system of generating residual income (when your ebook purchasers upgrade to Alpha dog status).

Let's look at a side-by-side comparison of both programs...

Part I:  Comparison of Program Fees and Affiliate Compensation.

With Big Dogs...

  • One begins with a modest one-time investment of $19.95 - the cost for the "Secrets of the Big Dogs" ebook.

  • This $19.95 is a one-time investment, on which an affiliate makes a one-time 50% commission.

  • The affiliate then has the opportunity to make larger, recurring commissions when one of his ebook purchasers upgrades to Alpha Dog status, and joins the ten C.H.I.P. programs.  (This is called a "back-end" or an "up-sell.")  The investment for this "up-sell" - upgrading to Alpha Dog -  is approximately $200.00 per month.

  • Approximately 15% of ebook purchasers upgrade to Alpha Dog.

In designing the Guru U program, however, I decided to approach it from the exact
OPPOSITE direction.

  • One begins with a modest recurring investment of $19.95 per month - the cost of monthly tuition into Guru U.

  • This $19.95 is a monthly, recurring investment, on which an affiliate makes a recurring 50% commission.

  • Thus, the affiliate has no need of a "back-end" or "up-sell" similar to the C.H.I.P. where 15% upgrade.  The up-sell is effectively "built-in" in the form of the recurring $19.95 monthly tuition.
