Stan: "Good afternoon, James, and thanks for giving us the benefit of your experience. Let's start with a little background information. Tell us about yourself."

James: "Well, Stan, I'm 47 years old, and my wife Jennifer is 39. We have three young children Hannah, Julia, and Michael. I am a graduate of Haas School of Business Administration at the University of California, Berkeley. I have had several years of executive level business experience in the accounting and financial area."

Stan: "Wow! Those are pretty impressive credentials. Obviously, you're not a stranger to the OFFline business world. But what prompted you to enter the ONline business world?"

James: "THAT is quite a story. In fact, the circumstances that led me to the Internet are probably the most physically and mentally challenging of my life. I'll go into greater detail about it in my first sample ad below, but suffice it to say, Stan, that I was permanently disabled in 1995, and have not been able to return to work since."

"Like a lot of other people, I 'found' the Internet and decided to give online marketing a try in 1997. By then our savings were depleted and we were living on my Social Security Disability and some help from our families. My first venture was with one of those online malls that were so popular back then, but that was a complete bust. Jennifer and I then went from one program to another and never really made any money."

"Then, about a year ago, I discovered 'Secrets of the Big Dogs!'"

Stan: "Then what happened, James?"

James: "Well, right after I purchased 'Secrets of the Big Dogs' we went on a family camping trip. I was so excited about Big Dogs I couldn't get it off my mind the whole weekend."

"When we returned home, I jumped in with both feet and signed up for ALL of the C.H.I.P. programs! Frankly, it was money I didn't have, but I truly believed that I finally found something that would work!"

James: "HARDLY! As soon as I became an Alpha Dog I began busting my my butt every single day. And by the end of my first full month, I had a grand total of..."

"But I resolved to give it my ALL for six months! I promised my wife that if Big Dogs was not viable in that time, I would quit. But even with that promise, Jennifer was not happy. Now Jennifer is the most wonderful wife and mother in the world. But, you have to understand, Stan, that she had seen my attempts at Internet marketing amount to zip for several years, and by now her patience had worn a little thin (to say the least!)."

"I had to sneak around onto my computer whenever I could, because Jennifer would get angry when she saw me sitting at it. I had to work very early in the morning, and late at night, when she was gone and I was watching the kids by myself. It was tough to say the least. But if I could do it under those circumstances, ANYONE can do it!"

Stan: "What was the turning point for you, James? What was it that got you on the winning track?"

James: "I asked my sponsor Chris Gibson for help, and he came through in spades! He edited a couple of my sales letters and gave me pep-talks on the phone and in email messages. One of the things he taught me that eventually became my mantra was..."

James: "Of course! Below are two examples of my recent ads. You'll notice that they are just various versions of my story since I began marketing on the Internet. I did try a few 'sales-y' type ads, but they do not work, except maybe as classified and ezine ads. I use all the C.H.I.P. programs, a lot of safelists, and some ezine advertising. I am really excited and I love telling everyone about Big Dogs. I really want others to have this, too! I want to get others out of their Internet rut and help them to succeed. However, you MUST put forth a lot of effort and use all the programs. Doing it just a little on weekends will NOT work!"

Thank you. I am glad you opened this. It doesn't bother me that I got your email. I am a real person and I hope you are not just some automailer out there. I know you've heard this before but you may thank me later.

Like you, I work on the Internet. In my case, I HAVE to work on the Internet. I would like to share something with you. And no, it's NOT a sales pitch.

Eight years ago I was a rather successful executive in the 'brick-and-mortar world.' I was very pleased with my salary. My hard work and sacrifices had finally paid off. To make a long story short I haven't gone back to work. I'm disabled now. I can't stand or sit very long without mounting pain and anxiety. I have to lie down periodically to rest. For the first time since my paper route when I was a kid, I had no job.

Then I heard about the Internet.

I was amazed at all the products, services and programs. The Internet was the answer to my problems! So what if I needed to lie down on the floor every so often to rest. I could set up shop on the Internet and work at home. In no time I'd be back in the saddle again.

Like you, I started out on a misadventure.

For the first time in my life hard work and dedication were not leading me to success. It seemed like I was going in all directions at once. I was very busy, but I certainly wasn't successful. I found out the hard way that the stuff I bought just plain doesn't work! I kept wondering why everyone else was getting rich and I was becoming frustrated to say the very least!
