The Ad Vault - Part 2
(After reading, just close this browser window to return to Training Manual Contents)

OK!  You've chosen your first ad.  Now what!?...

Step 1:
Copy your selected Ad Concept to the windows clipboard.
Now, just for the sake of example, let's say you've chosen Ad Concept A, and you have that page of our website open.  Click your RIGHT mouse button, and on the drop-down menu that appears, click on "Select All"  Each sentence on the website will now be highlighted.  Click your RIGHT mouse button again, and click on "Copy".

The complete Ad Concept A document has now been invisibly copied to your Windows clipboard.

Step 2:
Paste your selected Ad Concept to NotePad.
Open a blank "NotePad" document.   Make sure your cursor is blinking in the very upper left hand corner of this blank document.  Click your RIGHT mouse button, and on the drop down menu that appears, click on "Paste."  The complete Ad Concept A document has now been pasted to your (no longer) blank NotePad document.

Step 3:
Format your ad.
Recall that we stated that for your very first ad that we recommended that you NOT change the ad to reflect your own personal touches.  You'll have plenty of time to "play" with other ads and change 'em around all you want over the next week.  But for now we want you to get started F-A-S-T.  Thus the only things you will need to change in your ad are (1) your personal information, and (2) some other unnecessary "stuff."

Step 4:
Get rid of the unnecessary "stuff."
Each Ad Concept gives you not just one, but a CHOICE of five or more subject lines.  Of course you're only going to be using just one of those subject lines, so all the other sample subject lines are unnecessary "stuff."  Delete all of the subject lines you're NOT going to use.  In addition, delete that header - (AD CONCEPT A - YOUR SUBJECT LINES - CHOOSE JUST ONE) - that's unnecessary "stuff," as well.  Finally, delete the header - (AD CONCEPT A - YOUR SALES MESSAGE) - that, too, is unnecessary "stuff."

What's left is ONLY the subject line you're going to use (which you want at the very top of the NotePad document) and ONLY your sales message, separated from your chosen subject line by two spaces.

Step 5:
Insert your personal information.
Go through your sales message until you find the phrases...

(YOUR NAME)
(YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS)
(YOUR PHONE NUMBER)

...and replace them with YOUR first and last name, your email address, and your phone number.

Do not "title" each peace of information.  In other words, your personal information should NOT look like this...

Name:  John Smith
Address:  123 Easy St., Anytown, PA
Email Address:  johnsmith@xyz.com
Phone Number:  123-456-7890

...but rather, like this...

John Smith
123 Easy St., Anytown, PA
johnsmith (at) xyz (dot) com
123-456-7890

Also, make sure you DO NOT CAPITALIZE all of the letters.  Remember:  that's called "shouting" and is a definite "no-no."

Step 6:
Save your NotePad document.
In the upper left hand corner of your NotePad menu bar, click on "File."  On the drop down menu that appears, click on "Save As."  In the "FileName" box of the pop up box that appears, enter the name you are going to use for this ad.

It is important to remember that you can name your ads ANYTHING that you desire, so long as it is a systematic method that allows you to find your ads quickly and easily.  For example, you could name your ad BigDogsAd001, and number additional ads accordingly.  You could name your ads with the first two or three words of the subject line of that ad;  for example BestTraffic, etc, etc, etc.

Finally click on the rectangular gray "Save" button to the immediate right of the "FileName" box.

Step 7:
Send YOURSELF your own ad.
As an extra precaution, and to make SURE that your ad will look to your prospect the way you want it to look, email yourself a copy of the ad.  Simply reopen your NotePad document, copy and paste the subject line into the "Subject" area of a newly created email, and then copy and paste your sales message into the "Message" area.  Naturally, you would enter YOUR email address into the "Send To" area.  Once you receive your whole ad back, just go through it and verify everything is formatted just the way you want it.

That's it!  You're done for today!  You have...

  • copied and pasted your first Ad Concept into a NotePad document,

  • you have deleted all the unnecessary "stuff,"

  • you have inserted YOUR personal contact information,

  • you have saved your first ad with a name of your choice, and

  • you have emailed yourself a copy of the ad to verify it looks just the way you want it to look.

You're ready to rock and roll!  Now, whenever you're ready to start using the C.H.I.P. programs to send out your ad (which is tomorrow, by-the-way!), you can just open your NotePad program, open your ad, and copy and paste the subject line into the appropriate place, and then you would copy and paste the sales message into the appropriate place.  And each Fast-Track tutorial will show you EXACTLY - step-by-step - how to do this, quickly, easily, and in just a few minutes!
