The Sheriff Speaks!

It seems that a week doesn’t go by that someone asks me, with the success of the "Secrets of the Big Dogs," what my NEXT book is going to be. While I DO have a few ideas cookin’, it may very well be that the title could  be, "How the Sheriff Does It." And with over 500 ebook sales to his credit, and over 100 Alpha Dogs in his organization, that's something a LOT of people want to know!

You could almost consider him to be a relative latecomer.

Brian Garvin was the 300^th person into the Big Dogs program, but almost immediately he took the Leader Dog position away from our then-leading big guns. His rapid rise to "stardom" and consistent results prompted us to give him the well-deserved nickname of "The Sheriff" – as in "there’s a new sheriff in town."

I have to agree with Brian – those ARE pretty inspiring figures. Granted that Brian IS a full-time Internet marketer. Granted that he IS a workaholic. Granted that he IS very talented and knowledgeable.

But, my friends, in my thirty plus years in marketing, I‘ve known a LOT of talented, workaholic, full-time FAILURES!  Just what does Brian do that’s so different? And what can YOU do to copy HIS success!?

Let’s take a look at just two of Brian’s reasons for success…..

The Sheriff understands that communication with his downline in the CHIP programs – AS WELL AS THOSE FOLKS WHO MERELY PURCHASED THE EBOOK – is crucial! Now, as you all know, everyone who purchases an ebook automatically goes into the database of the Big Dogs Home Office, and they begin receiving the Big Dogs Bulletin. This keeps everyone informed and in touch, and helps to maintain that feeling of team spirit. It also aids in encouraging those folks who are "sitting on the fence" to join the CHIP programs under you. But at least once a week or more, Brian sends out to every person who purchased the ebook a nice little bulletin of his own. It’s nice to get info from Home Office, certainly, but how much MORE effective is that one-to-one feeling that Brian is able to engender with his OWN bulletin!? In addition, Brian sends every ebook purchaser a nice little "welcoming" email as soon as they purchase the ebook, introducing himself, and providing his people with his contact information.

Are YOU doing as much for YOUR people?

Understand folks, you don’t have to write Pulitzer prize winning stuff to build loyalty in your people. But you should send a nice "thanks for your purchase, welcome to my team" kind of email to everyone who buys the ebook from you. And why NOT send a weekly mini-bulletin of your own out. So WHAT if you don’t have 500 people in your organization yet! Neither did The Sheriff two months ago, but you can BET that’s one of the reasons why he got where he is today.

Brian also understands that the thirteen CHIP programs are the basis – the "foundation" – for Internet marketing, NOT the entire "building."  In the "Secrets of the Big Dogs" ebook we take great pains to point out ADDITIONAL forms of promotion. We discuss pay-per-click search engines, we discuss opt-in lists, we discuss paid ezine advertising – in fact ONE of the CHIP programs (TopEzineAds) is, itself, a directory for ezine advertising. Then test one or two ads in a few of the lower cost ezines – you’ll be SURPRISED at the results!
