"The TEAM! NONE of us is as strong as ALL of us!"
The First
Annual
"It’s Dog-Gone Hot Today, and Uncle Stan Wants ta Have Some FUN"
Contests
Lemme tell ya how things are…
You’ve all been introduced to my dearly beloved in a previous Big Dog Bulletin (The June 20 edition of the Big Dog Bulletin, "How You Can Make Stan's Wife Happy"). Now, ya gotta understand that Jan is a very fair-skinned red-head. Her idea of a heat-wave is any temperature over 72 degrees. So needless to say, when it’s 96 degrees, like it is today, she gets, well, sorta cranky. Naturally, she takes it out on me because, after all, I don’t really "work" for a living – I just "press buttons and play in front of the computer all day."
So we’re gonna have a little contest - TWO contests in fact – to lighten things up a little…..
Contest Number One:
The "Why Doesn’t This Blasted URL
Work?" Contest.
Below you will see two URL’s. What I want you to do is to tell me (1) why ONE works and one doesn’t, (2) what the DIFFERENCE is (if any) between the URL’s, and (3) why this is important to your online marketing efforts.
URL # 1: http://bigdogbulletin.20m.com/gogo.htm
URL # 2: http://bigdogbuIIetin.20m.com/gogo.htm
Submit your three answers to ThePowerTeam2000@cs.com, with
"I’ve got the answers!" in the subject line of the email. The first Big Dog to submit the correct answers wins a shiny, new fifty dollar bill form the ol’ Stan-meister.Contest Number Two:
The "This Ad Is the Greatest Thing
Since
Sliced Bread" Contest.
To give credit where credit is due, this was suggested by our newest Top Gun, "Admiral" Tom Bell. What I want you to do is to submit what in your opinion is your BEST, most effective, most UNIQUE ad and subject line promoting the Big Dogs opportunity. The emphasis here is on the word "UNIQUE" and, of course PRACTICAL. I wanna see clever ads, but not ads that could never really work in real life. In other words, I don’t wanna see subject lines like, "Join the Big Dogs and grow hair, marry a model, and be elected dictator of your own small Latin American country."
In other words, they gotta be PRACTICAL ads and subject lines that you either HAVE used, or WOULD use, to effectively market Big Dogs. And, yes, you are permitted to submit more than one ad.
And whaddya win? The best five ads/subject lines will each receive fifty bucks from Uncle Stan.
Now, remember: (1) each ad must be accompanied by it’s matching subject line (that’s the line that would appear in your email browser), (2) you may submit as many ads/subject lines as you desire, (3) all entries should be emailed to ThePowerTeam2000@cs.com, with
"Wait’ll ya see THESE ads, Stan!" in the subject line. All entries for BOTH contests must be received no later than midnight, July 27, and the winners will appear in next week’s Big Dogs Bulletin, which will ALSO give you a wrap-up of the entire month’s statistics. All submissions become property of the Big Dogs organization.
So let’s have some fun and make some money!
